Hi! See below a report from Steve McCluskey at WVU about character set
support for CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean) languages. Thanks, Steve!

Subject: Chinese, Japanese and Korean (CJK) on Adobe Acrobat
Ed --
I finally traced down the answer to my question about Adobe support
for Chinese from David Baskerville <[log in to unmask]>, (408)536-3690.
Adobe has a major program underway to support Chinese, Japanese and Korean
(CJK) characters. At present, the Japanese language version of Acrobat
supports Japanese; the next US release (4.0) will support Chinese and
Korean. (He didn't mention Japanese but I presume that was an oversight).
It is due out late this year and will be in Beta early this summer.
I signed on for the Beta test and you might want to suggest this to
other institutions that would be doing dissertations involving CJK text.
