Hello All,

We've encountered a few situations of ETDs that disclose private
company information. We discovered that the students had signed
non-disclosure forms with the companies, and then disclosed that
information in their ETD. The Advisors were not aware or did not catch
that the information was disclosed and the library does not currently
have a role to vet the ETDs any further.

Does ANYONE have any guidance in the form of presentations, written
information, webpage info, etc. that provides explicit advice or
guidelines for authors and academic faculty advisors on how to best
handle discussing private company information in a thesis or project?
