At Kansas State, students submit their ETDs to our DSpace installation.
On the DSpace submission form, we created a pull down list for
"Graduation Date" and students can select the month (May, August, or
December) and the year. The value is stored in a DC field
"date.submitted." I can't remember if date.submitted was part of the
default DC scheme within Dspace or if we added it as a new field.
