Hi! Many thanks go to OCLC in general and Tom Dehn in particular for the
latest harvesting for the NDLTD Union Catalog.  Please see his report
below.

We hope that the sites with harvesting problems can get those corrected
soon, so their records are updated.

Please note that for a class project here, 2 students are prototyping an
effort to crawl ETD sites where there is not yet an OAI data provider
set up.  We strongly prefer using the OAI approach, but for a stop-gap
solution at other sites are exploring a focused crawl.  If you are
interested in supporting that, please let me know, giving me the URL of
a browse page we can work from, or else directly contact the students
working on this effort, which is described at

It is nice to see the NDLTD Union Catalog collection expanding, and all
the search and browse services (see http://www.ndltd.org/browse.en.html)

The NDLTD Union Catalog was updated today. Record count went from 217563
to 232924.
