askSam's website claims:
>askSam's Automatic Field Recognition enables you to turn information into
>an instant database. askSam can automatically identify words that provide
>structure in your information and use these words as fields. For example,
>email messages often contains words like "To:", "From:", "Date:", and
>"Subject:" askSam lets you automatically use these words as fields. You
>can search, sort, and even create reports using these words as fields.
I've tried to get askSam to do this using the email template that came with
the product but cannot. I spent 2 hours on hold (but being constantly
reminded how "important your call is to us") waiting for one of askSam's
tech support people to tell me that this couldn't be done either. So what
gives? How can I import my Eudora email messages into an askSam database
so that the from, to and subject information in the message populate the
from, to and subject fields in the askSam document?
And is there a way to "automatically" import Word & PDF files so askSam
picks up not just the filename but the filedate and author?
