Tom,
There are a number of way to get the count or occurrence of things in
askSam...
Try using the "Action->Count word for phrase" menu. Or you can use the
command line
by typing {occurs [two words]} or {occurs oneword} or use the {occurs :D
[same taxes]}
to get the number of documents instead the number of occurrence. You can
also use the
{tally} command after any request you type of the command line to give
you the number
of documents that request is found in.
The number of document hits in the search results have been limited to
100 to help
speed up the gathering of search results. The occurs command does not
have this
limit.
I hope this helps..

Subject: Number of Hits Vague
Greetings.
I just downloaded a trial version of AskSam (5.0), and have been playing
around with it. One perplexing thing I have noticed is that search hits
never exceed 100. Obviously the exact number of hits would be more
useful.
Is there an option I have to turn off or on to get more accurate search
hits? Also, I would like to know the total number of hits per ask
database.
Is this possible?
