I use the current version of SurfSaver and was interested enough to
download the beta of version 2.0. When installing it I was informed
that it contained ad-enabled software that would, apparently, make
uncontrolled use of my Internet connection. This has put me off
installing the beta.
I know from your email announcement that when the product comes out of
beta you will be offering a Professional version upgrade without the
advertising. However, as a paying customer, I would like the
opportunity of evaluating version 2.0 without having to put up with the
annoyance of advertisements and without having to pay for the cost of
rogue software dialling my Internet connection whenever it feels like
it.
It would be helpful if you could let me know whether and how it is
possible to prevent the beta software from dialling the Internet and
whether, if one does this, the functionality of SurfSaver version 2.0
is affected.
